Summary 

The Senior Sales Manager is responsible for leading revenue generation efforts through proactive sales strategies targeting group, corporate, and leisure segments. This role serves as a key contributor to the hotel’s success by cultivating high-value client relationships, securing new business, and optimizing existing accounts. The manager collaborates closely with the Director of Sales and other departments to ensure alignment with overall business goals and exceptional guest experiences. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 

• Develop and execute strategic sales plans to drive room revenue across assigned market segments. 

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, prospecting, and industry events. 

• Manage a portfolio of key accounts, ensuring strong relationships and repeat business. 

• Conduct site inspections, client meetings, and presentations to showcase hotel offerings. 

• Negotiate contracts and pricing to maximize revenue while meeting client needs. 

• Collaborate with catering, revenue management, and operations teams to ensure seamless service delivery. 

• Analyze market trends and competitor activity to inform sales strategies and forecasting. 

• Mentor junior sales team members and support departmental training initiatives.

Education and/or Experience  

Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university preferred; or two years related experience and/or training in a hotel / resort sales environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
