Job Title: Comp Server 

Department: Food and Beverage 

Supervisor: Food and Beverage Manager/Director/Restaurant Manager  

Summary 

This role is responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences during complimentary hotel events such as evening socials and happy hours. This position is responsible for ensuring cleanliness and presentation standards, and providing warm, attentive service to guests in a relaxed social setting. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 

• Set up and replenish complimentary food and beverage stations for evening socials, happy hours, and other guest events. 

• Ensure all food items are attractively presented, properly labeled, and meet brand and safety standards. 

• Serve additional food and beverage offerings upon guest request, including alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. 

• Greet guests warmly as they arrive, offering assistance and enhancing the social atmosphere. 

• Monitor guest flow and proactively clear tables, reset seating areas, and maintain cleanliness throughout the event. 

• Restock supplies and maintain inventory of food, beverages, utensils, and service ware. 

• Collaborate with kitchen and front desk teams to ensure smooth coordination and timely service. 

• Uphold all health, safety, and alcohol service regulations to ensure a safe and enjoyable guest experience.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience  

One to two years’ experience in food and beverage service or hotel preferred but not required. Strong organizational skills and customer service skills as well as food and beverage service knowledge.  

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations 

Current Food Handler’s certificate or ServSafe certification is required. Current TABC (TX) or RVSP (LA) is required.

The employee may have to move, set up and tear down restaurant equipment including but not limited to chairs, tables, linens, service ware etc.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
